Grace, Aims & Objectives, Final Toast

 

Grace:

“Lord as we enjoy this food and fellowship, may we be ever mindful of those less fortunate. Amen.”

Alternatively, some clubs may want to continue using the Round Table Grace:
“May we oh Lord adopt thy creed,
Adapt our ways to serve thy need
And we who on thy bounty feed
Improve in thought, in word and deed.
Amen.”

Aims & Objectives:

  • To ensure that the hinges of friendship never rust
  • To develop the acquaintance of ex-Tablers through the medium of their various occupations and affiliated clubs
  • To maintain the highest ideals in business, professional and civic tradition.
  • To recognise the worthiness of all legitimate occupations and to dignify each his own by precept and example.
  • To further these ideals by meetings, visits, discussions and related activities.

Final Toast:

The traditional 41 Club ‘Final Toast’ is:
“May the hinges of friendship never rust”

Alternatively, the following may be used:
“To Continued Friendship”
